The Dimensional Gap was silent, endless, and empty. It was a place where nothing lived, nothing breathed, and nothing made sense to any normal being. But in that strange void, two of the most powerful existences in all of creation stood together. One was Great Red, the Apocalypse Dragon, the ruler of dreams. The other was Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God, the ruler of nothingness.
Great Red was loud, wild, and full of constant motion. Ophis was quiet, still, and emotionless. Nobody understood how the two ever became close. Even they didn’t fully understand it. But something unexpected happened between them… and from that something, a child was born.
A small baby floated in the empty space, wrapped in soft red and black energy. He had no ordinary presence. His aura shook the void like a storm. Great Red stared at him proudly, while Ophis looked at him with calm curiosity.
“This child will not fit here,” Great Red said. His voice echoed like thunder around the endless sky.
Ophis nodded slowly. “He needs a place where dreams and infinity can mix.”
They looked through dimensions, searching for a place where their child could grow. They knew their power would destroy any normal realm if the baby stayed with them. After a long search, Ophis found a world full of hope, danger, and supernatural creatures—Earth.
“He will live here,” Ophis said softly.
Great Red opened a dimensional tear and gently placed the baby inside a human city. They made sure he would be found by someone who could raise him. A warm light surrounded the child, hiding his true power and making him look like a normal human baby. They gave him a name in their own silent way: Issei.
Years passed. Issei grew up as a normal boy, but strange things always happened around him. When he cried, the lights flickered. When he laughed, the wind blew unnaturally. When he was sad, people felt a strange heaviness in the air.
His parents had no idea he wasn’t human.
But inside Issei, two powers were sleeping. The infinite power of Ophis and the dream-world power of Great Red. These powers sometimes leaked out quietly, protecting him from danger. When a car almost hit him as a kid, the world bent slightly and the car passed through him without touching him. When he fell from a roof while playing, the air thickened and held him like a cushion.
He thought he was just extremely lucky.
On his fifteenth birthday, something changed. Late at night, Issei suddenly woke up. His room felt strange—too big, too quiet. He looked around and saw black snakes of energy swirling in the corners. Red flames floated like sparks in the air.
A voice echoed inside his head.
“You are awakening.”
Issei froze. The voice felt ancient and endless, yet calm. Another voice followed, loud like a storm yet warm.
“Finally, our son wakes.”
Issei held his head. “Who… who’s talking to me?”
A circle of red light opened in front of him, and the room shook. A giant dragon shape appeared in the light, glowing like a massive crimson star. Great Red’s presence pressed against the walls, almost shattering reality.
Right behind him, black infinity wrapped itself into the shape of Ophis, her eyes empty yet deep.
Issei fell back in shock. “Wh-What is happening?!”
Ophis spoke first. “We are your parents.”
Great Red nodded. “You were born in the Dimensional Gap. But we hid you here so you could grow safely.”
Issei’s heart pounded. “My parents… are dragons? The strongest beings in all worlds?”
“Yes,” Ophis said. “And your power is beginning to wake. You will not stay human forever.”
Red and black energy poured out of Issei’s body. His room exploded outward, but reality bent back into place. Time froze around the house. Humankind could not see or understand what was happening.
Great Red lowered his massive head. “Many will seek your power. Devils, angels, fallen, dragons. All of them will feel your awakening.”
Ophis stepped closer to Issei and touched his forehead with a small finger. “But you are not alone. We will watch you… from the Gap.”
Their figures slowly faded away. The energy calmed, and time returned to normal. Issei sat on his bed, shaking, breathing hard.
He looked at his hands. Red and black sparks danced across his skin like tiny stars.
He was no longer just Issei Hyoudou.
He was the child of Infinity and Dreams.
And the whole supernatural world felt his birth cry.
Far away in the Underworld, Rias Gremory woke up suddenly, her heart pounding. “What was that…?”
In Heaven, Michael stared into the distance. “A new power has appeared…”
In the Fallen Angel base, Azazel smirked. “Interesting… this might be fun.”
Dragons across the world raised their heads at the exact same moment, sensing a new dragon god emerging.
Issei looked at the sky through his window.
His normal life was over.
His destiny… had just begun.
The morning after his awakening felt strange for Issei. The world looked the same, yet everything felt different. Colors were sharper, sounds clearer, and every breath he took felt like the air itself was reacting to him. He walked through his house quietly, trying not to think about the giant red dragon and the small black god who told him they were his parents.
His human parents were in the kitchen having breakfast. They didn’t notice anything unusual. Issei forced a smile and sat down with them. But even while eating, he felt something strange inside his chest. Power moved like a heartbeat, alive and growing.
Halfway through breakfast, the spoon bent in his hand without him touching it. His mother didn’t see it. His father didn’t notice. The world itself seemed to be hiding his growing power from humans.
When Issei walked to school, the wind pushed behind him gently, helping his steps. Birds didn’t fly away from him—they flew around him. Even the sky seemed brighter above his head.
But the biggest change happened when he reached Kuoh Academy.
The moment he stepped inside the school gate, a silent explosion of red and black energy spread out around him. Invisible to humans, but loud as thunder to anyone supernatural.
In the clubroom of the Occult Research Club, Rias Gremory suddenly dropped her teacup. A wave of pressure washed over her, making her heartbeat quicken.
“This presence…” she whispered.
Her queen, Akeno, shivered. “Rias, that’s not a normal aura. It feels… endless.”
Kiba and Koneko both stood up, alarms ringing inside their minds.
Meanwhile, Sona Sitri in the Student Council office paused mid-sentence, staring at the wall as if she could see through it. “Tsubaki… do you feel that?”
The Fallen Angels in the city froze, feeling the space distort.
And dragons across all realms opened their eyes.
But Issei didn’t know any of this. He just walked to class normally, unaware that the supernatural world had begun watching him like a bright star in a dark sky.
When he sat at his desk, the power inside him stirred again. He pressed his hand against his chest and whispered, “Please don’t go crazy again… not here…”
But the power didn’t calm down. It responded to something—or someone.
Just then, the classroom door opened, and Rias Gremory stepped inside.
Her red hair glowed like fire, and her blue eyes searched the room until they landed on him. The moment she looked at Issei, her senses screamed. The aura she felt earlier—he was the source.
But she couldn’t understand it. He looked like a normal boy… but the pressure coming off him felt stronger than any devil she had ever met.
Even stronger than Maou.
Issei felt her gaze and froze. The moment their eyes met, his heart thumped loudly.
Red energy flashed around his fingers.
Rias noticed and gasped softly.
After class, she appeared behind him silently, blocking his path.
“Hyoudou Issei,” she said with a calm smile. “Do you have a moment?”
Issei blinked. “Uh… sure?”
Rias led him toward an empty hallway. Akeno appeared suddenly behind him with a teasing smile, making Issei jump.
Akeno leaned close. “You gave us quite a shock this morning.”
Issei scratched his head nervously. “I… I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Rias stepped close until her face was inches from his.
“You released a massive wave of power earlier. Not human power. Not devil. Not angel. Something… much bigger.”
Issei’s breath stopped.
“You felt it?”
“Everyone with supernatural senses felt it,” Rias answered softly. “Devils, angels, dragons… even Fallen Angels.”
Akeno’s smile faded. “Issei-kun, what exactly are you?”
His heartbeat sped up. Red sparks leaked from his palm. Rias gasped again as she sensed the raw energy.
Issei panicked. “S-Stay back! I don’t want to hurt you!”
The hallway shook. The walls bent slightly. Reality rippled around him like waves.
Rias and Akeno were stunned.
Akeno whispered, “Rias… this is beyond a devil. What is he?”
Issei clenched his hands. “I just found out last night… my parents… they’re not human.”
Rias gently stepped forward. “It’s okay, Issei. You can tell me.”
He swallowed hard.
“My father is Great Red…”
Rias froze completely.
“…and my mother is Ophis.”
Akeno dropped her book. Rias felt her legs weaken.
“That’s… impossible…” Rias whispered.
Issei backed away, afraid. “I’m sorry! I didn’t choose to be born like this!”
The hallway shook again. Black snakes of energy slipped from his shadow. Red flames floated around his shoulders.
Akeno whispered, “Rias… if he loses control, the school… the whole city…”
Rias moved quickly and grabbed his hands.
“Issei! Look at me!”
Their eyes locked.
“Breathe. Slowly. You’re not alone.”
His power slowed. The hall stopped shaking. The energy faded.
Issei stared at her, surprised she didn’t run away or scream.
“You’re… not scared?”
Rias smiled softly. “I am. Anyone would be. But more than fear… I’m curious about you.”
Akeno nodded. “And if you want help controlling your powers, we can assist you.”
Issei felt warmth spread through his chest, calming the chaotic storm inside.
For the first time, he didn’t feel alone.
But far away, a pair of glowing blue eyes watched him from the sky.
Someone else had noticed Issei’s awakening.
Someone dangerous.
And they were already coming for him.
Issei walked home after school with his head spinning. Rias and Akeno had promised to help him control his power, but he still felt like the world was changing too fast. Every few steps, the air shimmered around him. Reality looked thin, like he could accidentally tear a hole in it if he sneezed too hard.
When he reached his house, he paused. The door was open.
His parents never left the door open.
Issei felt a sudden chill. Red and black energy swirled around his fingertips without him calling it. His instincts sharpened. Something dangerous was inside.
He pushed the door open slowly.
Inside the living room, three men with black wings stood waiting.
Fallen Angels.
The one in front smiled cruelly. “So the rumors were true. Great Red and Ophis had a child.”
Issei froze. “Where are my parents?”
The Fallen Angel shrugged. “Safe. We didn’t hurt them. They’re asleep. You’re the one we want.”
Issei clenched his fists. “Why?”
“Because your power could destroy the balance of the world,” the Fallen Angel said. “And our leader wants to control it.”
Issei’s heart pounded. Fear mixed with anger. The room started bending around him as his emotions flared.
Another Fallen Angel stepped forward. “Surrender and we won’t hurt you.”
Issei took a step back. “I’m not going anywhere with you.”
The Fallen Angel sighed. “Then don’t blame us.”
He threw a spear of light.
Issei didn’t move.
The spear hit him directly in the chest—
—and shattered like glass.
The Fallen Angel’s eyes widened. “What—?!”
Something inside Issei snapped. A wave of red and black erupted from him. The air cracked, the walls shook, and the Fallen Angels stumbled back in fear.
Issei whispered, his voice trembling, “Stay away from my family…”
Red flames swirled around his body. Black energy coiled around his arms like serpents. His eyes glowed a bright crimson, the same shade as Great Red’s.
One Fallen Angel panicked. “This power… this is insane!”
Issei raised his hand, and the floor beneath the Fallen Angels distorted like a dream twisting into a nightmare.
Before he could release the full blast, a gentle voice echoed inside his mind.
“Issei.”
He froze.
Ophis’s calm voice flowed through him like cool water.
“Do not destroy the house.”
Issei blinked as the power quickly calmed. The hallucinations faded. Reality returned to normal.
But the Fallen Angels weren’t done. The leader gritted his teeth and formed another spear of light.
“We can’t let you live!”
Before he could throw it, a red magic circle erupted on the floor.
Rias Gremory stepped out, her eyes burning with anger. “I warned you Fallen Angels to stay out of my territory!”
Akeno appeared behind her, lightning dancing around her hands.
The Fallen Angels cursed. “Damn devils—!”
Rias raised her hand. “Akeno.”
A lightning bolt shot across the room. The Fallen Angels barely dodged, their wings singed.
Rias stood in front of Issei protectively.
“You touch him,” she said coldly, “you deal with me.”
Akeno giggled darkly. “And me too.”
The Fallen Angels backed away. “This isn’t over. We’ll report to our leader.”
They flew out through the window, disappearing into the sky.
Issei collapsed onto the floor, breathing hard. His hands were shaking. Rias quickly knelt down.
“Are you hurt?”
“I… I almost lost control,” Issei whispered. “If Ophis didn’t stop me… I could’ve destroyed the whole house.”
Rias gently held his shoulders. “Issei, listen to me. Your power is dangerous, yes. But that doesn’t mean you’re a monster.”
Akeno smiled softly. “You protected your family. That’s what matters.”
Issei felt tears forming—but he blinked them away. “Why… why are you helping me? I’m not even a devil.”
Rias looked into his eyes.
“Because you’re important. To me. To this world. And I don’t want you facing this alone.”
Issei’s heart thumped.
But before anyone could say more, a massive pressure crashed onto the house from above. Everyone felt it. A presence so heavy, so ancient, the air seemed to freeze.
Rias gasped. “That aura… no way…”
A huge magic circle formed outside, glowing with divine symbols.
A figure floated down from the sky in shining white and gold armor.
Twelve wings spread behind him.
“Hyoudou Issei,” the angel said. “I am here on behalf of Heaven.”
Issei tensed. “What do you want?”
The angel’s eyes were cold but curious.
“We have sensed your birth. Heaven cannot ignore the child of Great Red and Ophis.”
Rias stepped in front of Issei again. “You’re not taking him!”
The angel raised a hand. “We do not wish for conflict. We only want one thing.”
Everyone held their breath.
The angel pointed at Issei.
“Come with us peacefully… or the heavens will declare you a threat.”
Issei slowly stood up, the red and black aura already forming around him.
His voice was calm.
“If you want me…”
The air cracked.
“…then fight me.”
The angel floated above Issei’s house, twelve wings glowing like burning stars. The golden pressure around him crushed the air, bending it like glass. Even Rias had trouble standing straight as she faced him.
Issei stood behind her, fists clenched, red and black sparks dancing around his hands.
The angel spoke again, voice echoing like thunder:
“Hyoudou Issei. Child of Infinity and Dreams. Come with us peacefully.”
Issei glared up at him. “I already said no.”
Rias stepped forward. “He is under my protection. You have no right to threaten him here.”
The angel looked down at her calmly. “Devil princess, this matter is above your authority. Heaven cannot allow a being of his potential threat level to roam free.”
Akeno narrowed her eyes. “Threat level? He’s just a boy.”
“Just a boy?” the angel repeated. “His existence shakes worlds. His awakening was felt across every realm. He is not a boy. He is a calamity.”
Issei felt something twist in his chest. “I’m not a calamity… I’m just me.”
But the angel extended his hand. “If you refuse to come peacefully—Heaven will subdue you.”
Rias prepared her magic. Akeno summoned lightning. Kiba and Koneko rushed to the yard from behind the house, ready to fight.
The angel looked at them with pity.
“You devils cannot even scratch me.”
Issei stepped forward, placing a hand on Rias’s shoulder. “This is my fight.”
She turned to him sharply. “Issei, no! He’s a high-ranking angel. You can’t—”
But when she saw Issei’s eyes, she stopped.
Crimson like Great Red.
Endless like Ophis.
Issei looked at the angel. “Fine. If Heaven wants to test me… then come.”
The angel spread his twelve wings. Golden light erupted behind him like a small sun.
“Very well. Do not blame Heaven for what comes next.”
He raised a glowing spear of pure holy light.
The yard shook.
The sky cracked.
And then the angel hurled the spear down with the force of a meteor.
A normal person would have died instantly.
A devil would have been erased.
But Issei lifted one hand casually and grabbed the spear mid-air.
The shockwave blew back Rias and her peerage—but Issei didn’t move an inch.
Everyone stared with wide eyes.
The angel froze.
Impossible.
Issei crushed the holy spear with his bare hand. The golden weapon shattered like dust.
Issei whispered, “My turn.”
Before anyone could blink, Issei disappeared.
Reality around him twisted like a dream shifting shape.
He reappeared right in front of the angel.
And punched.
The entire sky rippled. Clouds shattered like broken glass. The angel shot backward, smashing into a barrier of holy light before stopping himself.
A trickle of golden blood ran down his lip.
He wiped it slowly, shocked. “You… hit a Seraph.”
Issei floated up to him, surrounded by swirling red and black flames. “Leave me alone.”
The angel raised all twelve wings. “Then witness Heaven’s judgment.”
He formed a massive sword of light, bigger than a house. The air around it burned away, revealing pure divinity.
He swung.
Issei crossed his arms.
The sword hit.
A hurricane of holy energy exploded through the sky.
Rias screamed, “ISSEI!”
But when the light faded, Issei floated there unharmed. Only his shirt was torn a little.
He looked almost… bored.
Great Red’s dream aura shielded him.
Ophis’s infinite void absorbed the holy power.
Issei slowly lowered his arms. “Is that all?”
For the first time, fear flickered in the angel’s eyes.
Issei raised his hand and pointed it at him. A small sphere of mixed red-and-black energy formed—dense, silent, terrifying. Even the clouds moved away from it.
The angel’s wings trembled. “W-Wait. If you fire that… I won’t survive.”
Issei didn’t fire.
Instead, he said quietly:
“I don’t want to kill anyone.”
The sphere vanished.
The angel stared at him. “Why spare me?”
Issei lowered his gaze. “Because I don’t want to be a monster.”
The angel’s wings slowly folded. The fight left his eyes.
“…You truly are the child of both infinity and dreams. Power without limit… yet heart without corruption.”
He looked down at the devils on the ground, who were staring in awe.
“I will report to Heaven that you are not an immediate threat.”
Issei raised an eyebrow. “So you’re leaving me alone?”
“For now,” the angel said. “But Heaven will continue to observe you. Your future path… will determine your fate.”
He slowly flew upward, dissolving into golden light until he was gone.
The sky returned to normal.
The pressure disappeared.
Everything became silent.
Rias ran to Issei and hugged him tightly, surprising him. “You idiot! You scared me! I thought he killed you!”
Issei blinked, stunned by the sudden closeness. “Uh… I’m okay?”
Akeno flew up next to them, smiling with relief. “Issei-kun, that was amazing.”
Koneko stared at him like he was some kind of god. “Senpai… you beat a Seraph.”
Kiba laughed nervously. “You’re definitely not normal.”
Issei rubbed the back of his head shyly. “I didn’t mean to fight. I just didn’t want him to hurt anyone.”
Rias held his hand. “You’re coming to the clubroom tomorrow. We’re going to help you train. You can’t handle powers like that alone.”
Issei nodded. “Yeah… I think I need it.”
But far away, in a dark floating fortress in the sky…
A mysterious voice spoke.
“So Great Red’s son has awakened. And Ophis’s power grows inside him…”
The shadows trembled.
“…good. The plan can begin.”
The next day at Kuoh Academy, the air felt alive.
Students acted normal, laughing and talking, but the supernatural side of the school was tense. Devils, Fallen Angels spies, even hidden familiars—everyone could feel the trembling ripples in the atmosphere.
Issei Hyoudou had awakened again.
Rias had ordered her entire peerage to stay alert. The last thing they needed was another faction showing up to recruit—or eliminate—Issei.
Issei walked through the halls nervously. People stared at him without knowing why. His presence had grown heavier, like the world itself paid attention when he moved.
Even his shadow looked different, alive with faint black shapes that only supernatural eyes could see.
But Issei didn’t notice any of it. He just wanted to learn how to stop breaking reality by accident.
After school ended, Rias grabbed his hand. “Come with me. It’s time.”
She led him to the Occult Research Clubhouse.
When they entered, everyone was already waiting—Akeno, Kiba, Koneko, and Gasper. A magic barrier covered the entire building, glowing faintly red.
Akeno smirked. “This is to keep your power from destroying half the school again.”
Koneko nodded seriously. “Senpai breaks everything.”
Issei scratched his cheek awkwardly. “S-Sorry… I really didn’t mean to—”
Rias stepped in front of him, her eyes sharp. “Training first. Apologies later.”
She pointed to the center of the room. “Stand there.”
Issei obeyed.
Rias clasped her hands and summoned a glowing red magic circle. A field of Gremory sealing magic formed around Issei, tightening like a cage.
Issei felt the pressure. “Uh… is this supposed to feel like an elephant sitting on my chest?”
“A small elephant,” Rias said calmly.
Kiba whispered to Akeno, “That’s her weak seal.”
Akeno giggled. “Oh my~”
Issei’s legs shook a little. The seal pushed down on him like he was standing underwater.
Rias observed him closely. “Your base power is too big. We need to teach you how to compress it.”
“How do I do that?”
“Easy,” Akeno said. “Don’t explode.”
“Very helpful,” Issei deadpanned.
Rias stepped forward. “Close your eyes.”
Issei did so.
“Now,” Rias said softly, “feel the two energies inside you. One is wild red… dreams, chaos, constant motion. That is Great Red’s power.”
Issei felt it—like a storm swirling in his chest.
“And the other,” Rias continued, “is black, silent, infinite. Cold, calm, and endless. That is Ophis’s power.”
Issei felt that one too—like a void gently hugging him.
“Now,” Rias said, “try to make them listen to you.”
Issei focused.
The red energy growled like a dragon.
The black energy whispered like the night.
Issei swallowed. “They don’t seem… friendly.”
Rias placed a hand on his back. The warmth helped him breathe.
“They’re not your enemies, Issei. They are your blood. Your birthright.”
Issei nodded slowly.
He tried again.
This time, he didn’t restrain the energies.
He spoke to them.
Inside his mind, he whispered:
“…I’m your son. Please… calm down.”
Something unexpected happened.
Both energies paused.
Then moved as if bowing.
And merged.
A wave of power exploded out of him.
The entire building shook.
The sealing circle cracked.
Rias’s hair blew back as she yelled, “Issei, stop—!”
The power suddenly vanished.
Gone.
Total silence.
The room stopped shaking.
Issei opened his eyes.
Everyone stared at him.
Rias didn’t blink. “Issei… what did you do?”
“I… asked nicely?”
Koneko whispered, “Senpai is scary.”
Akeno giggled nervously. “He tamed two chaos dragons with manners.”
But before anyone could comment more, Gasper cried out, “Um… Rias-senpai…”
Everyone looked outside the window.
The sky was tearing open.
A crack of darkness split the clouds like a giant wound.
From inside the crack, something stepped out.
A girl.
Barefoot.
Long black hair.
Snake-like shadow aura.
Empty, infinite eyes.
Ophis.
She floated down silently and landed at the clubhouse door.
Rias tensed. “Everyone get ready—!”
But Ophis ignored the devils completely.
She walked straight inside.
Right up to Issei.
Issei gulped. “M-Mom?”
Ophis nodded. “Yes.”
Everyone’s jaws dropped.
Rias whispered, “He… he really calls her mom?”
Ophis placed her hand on Issei’s cheek.
“You awakened again,” she said softly. “Good.”
Rias blinked. Ophis… praised someone? This was unheard of.
Issei scratched the back of his head nervously. “I, uh… didn’t break anything big this time.”
“Not yet,” Ophis replied.
Then she turned to Rias.
“You. Red-haired devil girl.”
Rias stiffened. “Y-Yes?”
“Do not let my son die.”
Rias swallowed. “I… I wasn’t planning to let him die.”
“Good,” Ophis said. “If he dies, I destroy world.”
Akeno whispered, “Reasonable.”
Kiba muttered, “Totally reasonable.”
Issei waved his hands. “Mom! Please don’t threaten the planet!”
Ophis blinked. “Okay.”
She looked at him again.
“Grow stronger. Many will come. Some want to use you. Some want to kill you. Some want to steal you.”
“Steal me?!” Issei yelped.
Ophis nodded. “You are… valuable.”
Rias’s eyes narrowed. She stepped closer to him like she was guarding him. “He’s not going anywhere.”
Ophis tilted her head. “Do you like my son?”
Rias turned red instantly. “W-What?! I—It’s not— I mean—”
Ophis stared. “You like him.”
Everyone froze.
Issei’s face went red. “W-Wait, she’s just helping me!”
Ophis turned to Issei. “Accept her.”
Issei choked on his own breath.
Rias hid her face in her hands, completely flustered.
Then Ophis looked up suddenly.
The air grew cold.
“Someone comes.”
Her voice lost all softness.
Red lightning crackled outside.
A giant demonic magic circle appeared in the sky.
Rias gasped, recognizing it instantly.
“Th-That crest… no… it can’t be—”
A tall, terrifying figure stepped out of the flames.
Armor black as night.
Demonic wings.
Power leaking like poison.
Rias trembled. Koneko stepped back. Even Akeno’s smile faded.
Issei felt the pressure crash onto him.
This was not a Fallen Angel.
Not an Angel.
Not a devil he’d ever sensed before.
Rias whispered:
“That’s… a Maou.”
The figure looked directly at Issei.
“So. The child of Great Red and Ophis lives.”
Issei felt his heart race.
The Maou smiled darkly.
“Come, boy. Your power belongs to us.”
Ophis stepped in front of Issei, eyes full of killing intent.
“No.”
The air shattered.
The Maou grinned.
“Then let’s see who he chooses.”
The ground trembled the moment the Maou stepped forward.
Dark flames leaked from his armor, and every breath he took sent waves of pressure through the air. Rias could barely stand; Akeno’s lightning flickered weakly; Koneko’s legs shook; Kiba’s sword cracked just from the aura.
This was not a random devil.
This was one of the strongest beings in the Underworld.
The Maou grinned as he looked at Issei. “Your existence threatens the balance between all realms. For the future of devils… I will take you.”
Issei clenched his fists. “I’m not going anywhere with you.”
“Then I’ll drag you.”
The Maou raised his hand and fired a blast of demonic energy large enough to erase a mountain.
Akeno screamed, “ISEI—!!”
But Ophis moved first.
She didn’t speak.
She simply lifted her hand.
The blast vanished.
Not blocked.
Not deflected.
Erased.
Like it had never existed.
The Maou laughed. “So the Infinite Dragon God joins the fight. Good.”
He snapped his fingers.
Space ripped open behind him, and massive chains made of demonic runes shot toward Issei, glowing with power equal to ancient gods.
“Bind the child!”
Issei backed up, heart racing. Rias jumped in front of him and summoned her destruction magic.
“I won’t let you touch him!”
She fired a massive shot of crimson Power of Destruction.
The chain tore right through it.
Rias gasped as the recoil sent her flying back.
Issei caught her before she hit the wall. “Rias! Are you okay?!”
She clenched his shirt. “I-Issei… don’t let him take you…”
He nodded and gently set her down.
But the Maou wasn’t done.
“Your birthright belongs to the devils. With your power, the Underworld will rule every dimension!”
He swung his arm.
The chains wrapped around Issei’s body, glowing and tightening.
Issei gritted his teeth as the chains squeezed him, burning his skin with demonic sigils.
Koneko cried out, “Senpai!”
Akeno yelled, “Issei-kun!”
Rias tried to stand, but her knees buckled. “No… don’t take him…!”
The Maou smirked. “Relax. I won’t kill him… yet. First, he becomes my weapon.”
Issei’s eyes widened. “I’m not… your… anything!”
He struggled, but the chains drained his power.
The Maou stepped closer. “You have no choice. You were born a mistake. Something like you needs a master.”
Issei’s eyes slowly lowered.
And then—
He smiled.
A small, calm, terrifying smile.
“…Mom?”
The air froze.
Ophis stepped beside him silently.
“Yes.”
“Can you break these?”
Ophis nodded. “Yes.”
She touched the chains.
They shattered instantly.
The Maou’s eyes widened. “What—!? Those chains were made from the souls of ancient gods, reinforced with Maou-level curses!”
Ophis blinked. “Weak.”
Issei cracked his knuckles.
Red energy swirled behind him—Great Red’s dream power awakening.
Black energy wrapped his arms—Ophis’s infinity merging with his aura.
His voice changed slightly, echoing with both dragons’ tones.
“I didn’t want to fight today…”
The sky shook.
“…but you touched Rias.”
Rias’s eyes widened as her name left his lips.
Akeno smiled softly. Koneko whispered, “Senpai…”
The Maou growled. “You insolent brat! You think you can face me?!”
Issei took one step forward.
The ground shattered under his foot.
His shadow fused with swirling red light.
A new form awakened—half dream, half void.
Not dragon wings.
Not devil wings.
Something else.
Shapes of red and black energy curved behind him like drifting dimensions, bending the air.
The Maou stumbled back.
“What… what are you?”
Issei looked into his eyes.
“I’m their son.”
He vanished.
And appeared in front of the Maou in one instant.
He punched.
A single punch.
No light.
No sound.
Just impact.
The Maou flew across the sky, crashing into the clouds and breaking them apart like solid walls. The shockwave leveled every tree in a one-kilometer radius.
Issei floated into the air, power swirling around him.
The Maou coughed blood as he stabilized himself, staring at Issei in disbelief.
“That strength… that speed… impossible!!”
Issei spread his arms slowly.
“You wanted my power?”
He clenched both fists.
“Then come take it.”
The Maou roared and charged, demonic energy flooding the sky.
Issei met him head-on.
Punch after punch.
Shockwave after shockwave.
Clouds ripped apart.
Air cracked.
Reality bent.
Rias watched from below, eyes wide with awe. “Issei… that’s really him…”
Akeno smiled softly. “He’s becoming something incredible.”
Koneko nodded. “He’s… strong.”
But Gasper shivered in fear. “But that Maou… he’s still going…!”
The Maou screamed and unleashed a full-power blast from his chest—a beam of pure demonic destruction that could split a continent.
Issei raised one hand.
And stopped the beam.
With a single finger.
The Maou’s face went white.
“That… that’s impossible…”
Issei pushed his finger forward.
The beam exploded backward into the Maou, blowing him out of the sky.
He crashed into the ground, creating a massive crater. Dust filled the air as he crawled on his knees, shaking.
Issei landed in front of him calmly.
The Maou looked up, eyes filled with fear.
“W-What are you…?”
Issei looked down at him, power swirling peacefully around him now.
“I’m Issei Hyoudou.”
He raised his hand.
The Maou flinched.
Issei gently tapped his head.
The Maou collapsed unconscious.
Issei exhaled, letting his power fade. His wings—if they could be called wings—retracted back into pure energy.
Ophis stepped beside him.
“Well done.”
Issei smiled weakly. “Thanks.”
He turned—
And Rias crashed into him, hugging him tightly.
“You idiot! Don’t scare me like that!”
Issei froze, turning beet red. “R-Rias?!”
She pressed her forehead against his chest. “I thought I was going to lose you…”
Issei awkwardly put his arms around her.
Akeno giggled. “Ara ara~ How bold, Rias.”
Koneko nodded. “She likes senpai.”
Ophis blinked. “I approve.”
Issei panicked. “W-Wait—!”
But before the moment could settle, Ophis suddenly lifted her head.
Her eyes darkened.
“Another one comes.”
The air split open again.
A new presence appeared.
Stronger.
Older.
More terrifying.
Issei, Rias, and everyone felt their blood freeze.
A voice echoed from the crack in space.
“So… the child has awakened. Good. The real game begins.”
A figure began to step through—
And everything shook.
The crack in space widened like a wound tearing through the sky.
Lightning of pure void and pure dream energy sparked from its edges.
Everyone stepped back. Even Ophis narrowed her eyes.
Issei swallowed hard.
His body tensed on instinct.
This presence wasn’t like the Maou.
It wasn’t like an angel.
Or a devil.
Or a dragon.
This presence felt like everything and nothing at the same time.
A voice echoed again—calm, ancient, and terrifyingly familiar.
“So the child of the Apocalypse Dragon and the Infinite Dragon has awakened. Excellent.”
The figure finally stepped out.
A tall man with long, dark red hair that shimmered like living fire.
Golden eyes filled with knowledge older than creation.
A coat made of shifting colors, like galaxies swirling.
Every step bent reality.
He looked almost human…
…but the pressure around him was beyond even Ophis.
Rias collapsed to her knees. Akeno’s lightning vanished in an instant. Koneko froze. Kiba couldn’t breathe. Gasper fainted.
Issei felt his knees shake.
His heart pounded like a drum.
Ophis spoke quietly.
“You.”
The man smiled faintly. “It has been a long time, Ophis.”
Issei blinked. “Mom… do you know him?”
Ophis nodded slowly.
“Yes.”
She stepped forward, her tiny figure shining with infinite darkness.
“He is the First Being.”
The air cracked.
Rias gasped. “T-The First Being? You mean—the first existence before gods and devils—?!”
Akeno whispered, trembling, “The origin… of everything…”
The man nodded. “Correct.”
He looked at Issei with warm eyes.
“I am Orion.
The one who shaped the first dimensions.
The one who gave birth to the concepts of Infinity… and Dreams.”
Issei froze.
“You’re… the creator of my parents’ power?”
Orion smiled. “I am the origin of both.”
Ophis narrowed her eyes. “Why are you here?”
Orion clasped his hands behind his back calmly.
“To meet my grandson, of course.”
Everyone stopped breathing.
Issei pointed weakly at himself. “G-Grand…son…?”
Orion chuckled. “Indeed. Great Red was born from the cosmic dreams I released into the empty void. Ophis was born from the eternal stillness I created to balance the universe.”
He looked at Issei gently.
“And then the two most powerful forces in all creation made the impossible happen—they produced life.”
Issei felt dizzy.
“Me…”
Orion nodded.
“You are the first being in history born from both Infinity and Dreams.
A walking paradox.
A living miracle.”
Ophis stepped in front of Issei protectively. “Do not touch him.”
Orion raised his hands peacefully. “Calm yourself. I am not here to harm him. In fact, I am here to warn him.”
Issei blinked. “Warn me?”
Orion’s warm smile slowly faded.
“The different factions that have approached you so far—devils, angels, fallen, and dragons—those were only the beginning. The Maou you faced was a pawn. The angel was testing your nature. But now…”
He waved his hand.
A massive image appeared in the sky—a dark fortress floating in a realm outside any known dimension. An army of monstrous shapes filled the space around it. Each one radiated ancient, corrupted power.
Rias stepped back in fear. “W-What is that…?!”
Orion’s voice hardened.
“They call themselves The Void Eclipsed.”
Ophis narrowed her eyes. “Them again.”
Issei felt a chill. “Who are they?”
Orion turned to him.
“They are beings born from the part of infinity that even Ophis cannot control, and the part of dreams that even Great Red cannot influence. They are the forgotten, the rejected, and the twisted children of the cosmic forces.”
He pointed at Issei.
“And they want you.”
Issei’s breath caught.
“Why?!”
Orion answered:
“Because your power—the unity of dream and infinity—is the one thing that can either destroy them forever…
…or bring them eternal dominion over all dimensions.”
Issei felt his heart race faster.
Rias grabbed his arm tightly. “We’re not letting them take you!”
Orion looked at her with a faint smile.
“You care for him. That is good. He needs allies.”
Ophis stepped closer to Orion. “What do they plan?”
Orion’s face darkened.
“They plan to open the Eclipse Gate. A portal that will merge all dimensions into one oppressive reality under their rule. They need a key to unlock it.”
Issei slowly realized where this was going.
“A key… like me.”
Orion nodded sadly.
“Exactly.”
Issei clenched his fists, teeth gritted. “No. I’m not going to be used by anyone. Not them. Not angels. Not devils. Not anyone.”
Orion smiled proudly.
“That determination… that is your greatest strength.”
He lifted his hand, and a swirling red-black shard appeared.
Rias gasped. “W-What is that?”
Ophis narrowed her eyes. “Dream-Core?”
Orion nodded.
“And Void-Core,” he added.
Two cosmic shards fused into one—one glowing like living fire, one absorbing all light around it.
He held it out to Issei.
“This is your birthright.”
Issei hesitated. “What does it do?”
Orion smiled softly.
“It unlocks your true form.”
Everyone froze.
Issei took a shaky breath. “Will it… hurt?”
Orion chuckled. “It will feel like waking up.”
Ophis placed her hand on Issei’s shoulder. “Accept it.”
Rias grabbed his hand tightly. “We’re here with you.”
Issei finally reached forward—
And touched the cosmic shard.
Reality exploded.
The air shattered like glass.
Space twisted.
Time bent.
Light vanished.
Darkness vanished.
Everything turned into swirling red and black rings.
Issei felt energy crash through him—pure, ancient, limitless.
He screamed—
Or maybe the universe screamed.
Rias cried out, “ISSEI!!”
Akeno’s eyes filled with panic. “His power—it’s overflowing!”
Koneko shielded her face. “Senpai’s aura… it’s too much!”
Ophis just watched quietly.
Orion smiled.
And then—
A massive burst of energy spread out.
When the light faded…
Issei floated above the ground.
His body glowing with red dream-fire.
His eyes shining with infinite black rings.
Energy wings shaped like shifting dimensions spread behind him—
Not dragon wings.
Not devil wings.
Not angel wings.
Something entirely new.
Ophis whispered:
“He has awakened… Dimensional Ascendance Form.”
Orion bowed his head respectfully.
“Well done… grandson.”
Issei opened his eyes.
And the world trembled.
The light faded slowly, revealing Issei’s new form floating in the air.
Rias stared up at him, eyes wide and trembling.
Akeno covered her mouth, stunned.
Koneko’s tail stood straight from shock.
Kiba stepped back as the sheer energy made his sword break apart.
Gasper hid behind Akeno, too scared to look.
Even Ophis blinked—once.
Which for her was equal to the shock of ten thousand people.
Issei hovered above the ground, surrounded by drifting pieces of broken space and swirling red dream-fire. His wings were not wings—they were shifting layers of energy. Portions of infinity, portions of dreams, all woven together.
A halo of black and red rings rotated behind his head.
His eyes… no longer human.
In one eye burned Great Red’s dream-creation spark.
In the other swirled Ophis’s endless void.
Rias whispered, “Issei… that’s really you?”
Issei slowly lowered to the ground.
His feet touched the earth, and the ground instantly reshaped itself under him, adjusting like reality welcomed its rightful owner.
Issei blinked.
“…I feel… lighter.”
Orion smiled proudly. “This is your Dimensional Ascendance Form. A state where your soul, your dream-core, and your void-core merge into harmony.”
Issei looked at his hands.
Red and black energy moved across his skin like living threads.
“I… feel everything. The wind… every magical signature… even the heartbeat of the ground…”
He took a deep breath.
“Is this what my parents feel all the time?”
Ophis nodded. “Yes.”
Rias took a step toward him, reaching out slowly. “Issei… can I… touch you?”
He smiled softly. “Of course.”
She placed her hand on his arm.
His skin felt warm, alive, almost glowing.
Her cheeks flushed. “You look… incredible.”
Akeno giggled. “Ara ara~ Rias is going bold.”
Koneko nodded seriously. “Senpai is cool.”
Issei rubbed the back of his head shyly. “Guys… don’t embarrass me…”
Orion cleared his throat.
“We do not have time to admire his new form. They are coming.”
Ophis nodded. “I feel them.”
The sky darkened.
The wind grew cold.
A massive tear opened above Kuoh—bigger than before, stretching like a bleeding scar across the heavens.
From inside the void, thousands of glowing red eyes appeared.
Rias froze. “What… what ARE those things…?”
Orion’s voice was grim.
“The Void Eclipsed. The forgotten children of infinite darkness and corrupted dreams.”
One creature crawled out first—monstrous, with dozens of limbs that constantly changed shape, like reality couldn’t decide what it looked like.
Another followed—a floating mass of black mist with screaming faces trapped inside.
Then more.
And more.
And more.
The sky filled with horrors.
Every supernatural being in Kuoh felt the pressure. The devils panicked. The Fallen Angels hid. Even stray gods felt terrified across different realms.
Rias clenched her fist. “We can’t fight all of those…”
Orion shook his head. “Not yet.”
More tears opened around the town.
Dark shadows emerged, dripping with void energy.
A voice echoed from the deepest part of the rift.
“So… the hybrid has awakened.”
A figure appeared above the monsters.
Tall.
Armored.
Face hidden in shifting darkness.
A crown of broken dimensional shards on his head.
Ophis growled—an extremely rare sound for her.
“Eclipsion.”
Issei tensed. “That’s the leader?”
Orion nodded. “Yes. The ruler of the forgotten void. The enemy of all creation.”
Eclipsion extended his hand.
“Issei Hyoudou… child of Great Red and Ophis… you will come with me.”
Issei stepped forward, wings spreading.
“No.”
Eclipsion’s voice deepened. “You do not understand. You are the key.”
Issei glared. “And you don’t understand. I’m not anyone’s weapon.”
The monsters roared all at once.
The sky shook violently.
Eclipsion pointed at Issei.
“Take him.”
The creatures swarmed downward like a tsunami of nightmares.
Rias shouted, “Everyone get back!”
Akeno summoned lightning.
Koneko dropped into a stance.
Kiba tried to summon his sword again.
But Issei spoke calmly.
“Stay behind me.”
His wings expanded.
The entire battlefield froze.
Even the monsters stopped mid-lunge.
Everyone stared.
Energy gathered around Issei’s hands—pure dream-creation on one side, infinite void on the other.
He thrust his hands forward.
“Dimensional Breaker.”
The air shattered.
Reality cracked outward from Issei like a massive shockwave made of dream and void.
The monsters were torn apart instantly—absorbed into nothingness, erased as if they had never been born.
The sky exploded with light.
When the wave faded, only dust and silence remained.
Rias covered her mouth. “I-Issei… you erased them…”
Akeno whispered, “With one attack…”
Koneko stared in awe. “Senpai… OP.”
Orion nodded. “Yes. But Eclipsion remains.”
Ophis stepped forward, eyes glowing. “I will kill him.”
Issei grabbed her hand gently.
“Mom… let me fight.”
Ophis looked at him quietly.
Then nodded.
“Yes.”
Eclipsion’s body re-formed in the sky.
He spread his arms.
“What an amusing surprise. Very well, child. Show me what the union of Infinite and Dream truly is.”
Issei spread his wings.
“Gladly.”
Rias grabbed his arm one last time. “Come back alive. Please.”
Issei smiled at her.
“I promise.”
He rose into the sky.
Eclipsion raised his blade—made of pure dimensional collapse.
Issei raised his fist—glowing with dream and void.
Their auras collided.
The sky split in half.
Everyone felt the world tremble as their clash began.
The sky tore apart the moment Issei and Eclipsion collided.
Their auras hit like two universes smashing together—red dream-fire and black void lightning exploding across the heavens. The shockwave spread over the entire region, shaking every building in Kuoh.
Rias and the others shielded themselves as the ground cracked beneath their feet.
Akeno whispered, “That power… it’s beyond anything I’ve ever seen…”
Koneko could barely breathe. “Senpai… please win…”
Ophis and Orion floated calmly, watching with focused eyes.
High above them, Issei and Eclipsion hovered in a ruined sky, facing each other.
Eclipsion smirked. “Your power is impressive, child… but raw energy alone means nothing.”
Issei clenched his fists. “Then let’s see what you’ve got.”
Eclipsion raised one hand.
The sky turned silent.
Every sound died.
The world dimmed.
And then—
thousands of dark swords formed behind Eclipsion, each humming with dimensional collapse.
He pointed at Issei.
“Die.”
The swords shot forward at impossible speed.
Issei’s wings flared.
He vanished.
The swords tore through the sky, missing him by inches.
Issei appeared behind Eclipsion and punched, a fist coated in dream-fire.
Eclipsion blocked with one arm—but the impact tore his armor.
He stared at his damaged arm. “Interesting…”
Issei smirked. “There’s more.”
He gathered power in his palms—mixing dream and infinity—and clapped them together.
A shockwave erupted.
Reality shivered.
The force smashed Eclipsion backward, hurling him through clouds like a meteor.
But Eclipsion stopped midair, snarling.
He swung his blade, unleashing a slash so strong it cut the sky open.
Issei crossed his arms to block.
The slash pushed him back miles, tearing the air behind him.
Rias screamed from below. “ISSEI!”
He gritted his teeth—then vanished again, reappearing above Eclipsion.
Issei raised his hand.
Black and red energy spun around it like a spiral galaxy.
“DIMENSIONAL—”
Eclipsion’s hand snapped upward, grabbing Issei by the throat.
He slammed Issei downward.
The ground cratered violently.
Issei gasped as the world shook around him. Eclipsion floated down slowly.
“You are powerful… but unrefined. You do not yet understand the balance within you.”
Issei pushed himself up. “Balance…?”
“Yes.”
Eclipsion raised his blade.
“You are half dream, half void. But you fight as if they are separate. That is why you cannot beat me.”
Issei’s eyes widened.
He was using them separately.
One punch dream.
Another punch void.
He wasn’t combining them.
Eclipsion pointed his blade at Issei’s heart.
“You have infinite potential—
but you will die before realizing it.”
He dashed forward.
His speed bent space.
Issei braced himself.
But before Eclipsion’s blade could strike—
Rias appeared in front of him.
Her arms spread wide.
“STOP!”
Issei’s eyes went wide. “RIAS!!!”
Eclipsion paused, blade inches from Rias’s chest.
She trembled—but didn’t move.
“You want to kill Issei?” she said with shaking breath. “You’ll have to kill me first.”
Issei’s heart dropped.
“Rias… why…?”
She turned her head, eyes full of tears.
“Because I love you!”
The world stopped.
Issei froze.
Rias continued, voice breaking.
“I love you, Issei… not because of your power… not because you’re the child of dragons… but because you’re you.
The one who tries to protect everyone…
the one who cares more than he admits…
the one who made me fall for him without even trying…”
Her tears fell.
“So if you want to take him…
you go through me.”
Eclipsion blinked, annoyed. “Devil emotions are useless.”
Issei’s aura exploded.
Reality bent.
His wings flared wildly.
Void lightning cracked the sky.
Dream-fire melted the ground.
Issei slowly floated up behind Rias.
His voice was low.
“Don’t touch her…”
Eclipsion raised his blade. “She interfered. She dies.”
Issei placed a hand on Rias’s shoulder.
“Rias.”
She looked back at him, crying.
Issei gently wiped her tears.
“I… love you too.”
Her breath caught—
but before she could speak—
Issei vanished.
A punch hit Eclipsion square in the face, so hard it cracked his mask.
Eclipsion flew backward, crashing into floating void-stone pillars.
Issei floated upward, surrounded by collapsing dimensions and blooming dreamflowers.
Half void.
Half dream.
And for the first time—
the two powers merged into one swirling, glowing core inside his chest.
Orion’s eyes widened. “He’s… synchronizing.”
Ophis nodded. “At last.”
The air around Issei twisted, forming a vortex of infinite shapes.
He raised his hand.
A sphere formed.
Not red.
Not black.
A perfect fusion.
Eclipsion ripped off his broken mask, revealing glowing star-like eyes.
“So… you finally understand.”
Issei pointed the sphere forward.
“This ends now.”
Eclipsion roared, gathering all his power.
His aura turned into a collapsing universe.
“SHOW ME WHAT YOU ARE, HYBRID!”
Issei shouted:
“DIMENSIONAL
INFINITY
REALITY BREAKER!”
The attack launched.
Eclipsion fired his own in return.
The two blasts met.
The sky shattered.
Light consumed everything.
The world shook from the impact.
No one could see.
No one could breathe.
Then—
Silence.
A figure fell from the sky… smoking… broken… defeated.
Eclipsion hit the ground hard.
His armor cracked.
His essence flickered.
He looked up at Issei, exhausted.
“Impossible… how…?”
Issei landed in front of him, chest rising and falling slowly.
“Because I finally understood.”
He clenched his fist.
“I’m not dream.”
“I’m not void.”
“I’m both.”
Eclipsion’s voice cracked.
“You have surpassed the paradox… You truly are…”
He coughed void-blood.
“…the heir of existence.”
His body dissolved into dust.
The rift in the sky closed.
The world went quiet.
Issei turned around.
Rias ran into him, hugging him tightly.
“You’re alive… thank god… thank god…”
Issei hugged her back, wings fading.
“I told you I’d come back.”
Akeno wiped a tear. “Ara… you two are cute…”
Koneko nodded. “Senpai strong. And romantic.”
Ophis floated above them.
“You have done well, child.”
Orion smiled.
“But the war has only begun.”
Issei’s eyes narrowed.
“What do you mean?”
Orion looked at the fading dust of Eclipsion.
“That was only the first general…
the weakest…”
Issei felt a chill.
Ophis spoke calmly.
“Stronger ones will come.”
Issei breathed out.
“Then I’ll be ready.”
He looked at Rias, who held his hand.
And for the first time—
he knew he wasn’t facing it alone.
The sky tore apart as Issei and Eclipsion collided.
Every punch they exchanged cracked reality. Lightning made of void erupted. Red dream-fire rained down like meteors. Dimensional rifts opened and closed with each impact.
From the ground, Rias and the others watched in awe and fear.
Akeno shielded her eyes. “They’re fighting… above dimensional limits…”
Kiba whispered, “Even gods don’t battle like this…”
Koneko hugged her arms tightly. “Senpai… come back safe…”
Gasper cried, trembling, “Th-The sky is breaking…”
Orion and Ophis stood calmly, watching the clash with serious eyes.
Eclipsion swung his blade—a weapon forged from collapsing dimensions.
Issei dodged, barely. The blade shredded a continent-sized piece of sky.
Eclipsion smirked.
“You are strong, hybrid. But you are still incomplete.”
Issei gritted his teeth. “I’m not incomplete! I’m me!”
He shot forward, fist glowing with combined dream and void.
He punched Eclipsion straight in the chest.
The explosion shook every realm—Heaven, the Underworld, the Youkai Faction, even Dragon Realms trembled.
Eclipsion was thrown back, cracking through floating dimensional plates.
Issei panted heavily.
His power was incredible, but this form wasn’t infinite. His body felt strain.
Eclipsion wiped dust from his armor.
“Your strength is extraordinary. But not enough to stop me.”
He raised his hand.
A giant black-and-red vortex formed behind him—devouring stars, absorbing light, pulling reality inward.
Orion’s eyes widened. “He’s opening it…”
Ophis whispered, “The Eclipse Gate…”
Rias felt dread rise in her chest. “Issei…!”
Eclipsion spread his arms.
“When this gate opens… all dimensions will merge into one eternal void under my rule. And you, hybrid, will serve as the core.”
Issei’s eyes widened. “Over my dead body!”
He charged again.
But Eclipsion moved faster this time—dodging behind him and slamming his palm into Issei’s back.
Issei gasped, coughing blood as he was thrown downward, smashing into the ground and creating a massive crater.
Rias screamed, “ISSEI!!”
She ran toward the crater, ignoring the shaking earth.
Inside the crater, Issei stood up slowly, breathing heavily. His wings flickered like dying flames.
His Ascendance Form… was weakening.
Eclipsion descended gracefully.
“You are powerful. But your form is unstable. You have not fully accepted the dream… nor the void.”
He clenched his fist.
“I was born complete. You were born conflicted.”
He raised his blade.
“Now you die.”
Rias appeared in front of Issei instantly, arms spread wide.
“NO!”
Issei’s eyes widened.
“Rias! Move!”
She shook her head fiercely.
“No! I won’t let him kill you!”
Eclipsion paused.
“…foolish devil. You plan to shield him?”
Rias glared at him, tears forming.
“He’s not just a weapon. Not a key. Not a threat. He’s… Issei.”
She turned her head slightly toward him.
“And I… I care about him.”
Issei’s heart stopped for a moment.
Rias wasn’t done.
She placed her hand on his cheek gently.
“You’re not alone anymore, Issei. You don’t have to carry everything by yourself. I’m here. Akeno is here. Koneko, Kiba, everyone… we’re with you.”
Issei’s breath trembled.
Rias whispered the words that shattered his heart open:
“I love you.”
Time froze.
Even Eclipsion paused.
Ophis blinked once.
Orion smiled faintly.
Akeno gasped in surprise. “Rias…”
Koneko’s ears twitched. “She really said it…”
Issei stared at Rias, stunned, overwhelmed, heart racing faster than any fight he’d ever had.
“Rias… I…”
But before he could speak—
Eclipsion raised his blade once more.
“I tire of this emotion.”
He swung.
A slash of pure dimensional collapse tore through the air, ripping the world apart.
Issei’s eyes widened.
Rias closed her eyes.
“ISSEI!!!”
Issei grabbed her and pulled her into his arms.
His wings spread—
And something awakened inside him.
Not from anger.
Not from pain.
Not from fear.
From love.
A new kind of power burst from his heart.
His wings shattered into particles.
And then—
New wings formed.
Enormous.
Majestic.
Blinding.
One wing made of pure dream-fire, swirling like galaxies.
One wing made of pure void, silent and infinite.
Each wing massive enough to eclipse the sky.
Orion’s eyes widened. “He unlocked it…”
Ophis whispered, “True Hybrid Form…”
Issei looked at Eclipsion with glowing eyes—equal parts dream and infinity.
“No one… touches her.”
He raised his hand.
The dimensional slash—strong enough to destroy worlds—
Stopped.
Frozen in the air.
Then shattered like glass.
Eclipsion flinched. “Impossible…!”
Issei gently set Rias behind him.
She looked up at him, eyes full of awe and tears.
“Issei…”
He smiled warmly.
“I heard you.”
She turned red instantly.
Issei lifted his head returned to Eclipsion.
His voice calm.
Deadly.
Unshakeable.
“I’m done holding back.”
He vanished.
Faster than before.
Eclipsion swung his blade in panic.
Issei caught it with two fingers.
Then crushed it.
Eclipsion staggered back. “This cannot—”
Issei punched him in the chest.
This time, Eclipsion coughed out void-blood.
Issei grabbed his face and slammed him into the sky, punching him upward again.
Eclipsion tried to escape, but Issei appeared above him instantly and kicked him back down.
The ground shook violently.
Issei descended slowly.
Eclipsion struggled to his feet, armor cracked, breath uneven.
“You… freak… monster…”
Issei replied quietly:
“I’m the son of Great Red and Ophis.”
His wings spread fully.
“And I’m done running.”
He raised both hands.
Both energies merged—dream and void forming a perfect sphere of infinite creation and destruction.
Orion whispered, “The Primordial Core…!”
Issei aimed it at Eclipsion.
“This ends now.”
Eclipsion roared.
“I WILL NOT FALL TO A HYBRID—!!!”
Issei unleashed the attack.
The explosion consumed the sky, devoured the darkness, and erased the void creatures completely.
When the light faded…
Eclipsion was gone.
Silence filled the battlefield.
Issei slowly descended to the ground, wings fading back into energy.
Rias ran to him and hugged him tightly.
“You did it… you did it…”
Issei wrapped his arms around her gently.
“I told you… I’d come back.”
As the others rushed to join them, Ophis and Orion exchanged quiet looks.
Orion whispered:
“He surpassed even prophecy.”
Ophis replied:
“He is… perfect.”
Issei smiled faintly as Rias hugged him again.
But he didn’t notice the last crack in the sky quietly forming…
Something else was watching.
Something older.
Something waiting.
The war… wasn’t over.
The sky cracked open as Issei and Eclipsion hovered high above Kuoh, two impossibly powerful beings staring each other down.
Below them, the world trembled.
Rias watched from the ground, eyes full of fear and trust.
Akeno clenched her hands, lightning sparking restlessly.
Koneko held her breath.
Kiba’s sword shook.
Gasper hid behind Rias’s legs, praying.
Even Ophis watched with still intensity.
Orion stood with his arms folded, knowing the clash would decide the future of reality.
High above—
Eclipsion drew his blade of dimensional collapse.
The blade’s edges flickered, unable to maintain one shape—sometimes curved, sometimes jagged, sometimes like a staff or a greatsword.
It was a weapon not meant for any universe.
Issei’s wings shifted behind him, rotating like galaxies folding into new shapes.
His eyes glowed—one red dream, one black infinity.
Eclipsion’s voice echoed everywhere and nowhere:
“You cannot defeat me, child.
I am born from the void your mother abandoned.
I am shaped from the dreams your father rejected.
I am everything they refused to control.”
Issei lowered his stance. “I don’t care where you came from. You won’t touch my family. Or my friends. Or my world.”
Eclipsion pointed the blade forward.
“Then you will die protecting them.”
He vanished.
Issei vanished too.
The clash happened faster than light.
The sky exploded.
Dimensional cracks ripped open.
Hurricanes formed.
Thunder roared.
Space folded like paper.
To Rias and the others on the ground, the battle was a blur—two streaks of red, black, and void flashing across the sky.
Issei appeared behind Eclipsion and threw a punch.
Eclipsion twisted, blocking it with his shifting blade.
The shockwave created a crater in the sky itself.
Eclipsion smiled behind his veil of shadow.
“Good. You are stronger than expected.”
Issei frowned. “Stop talking and fight me seriously.”
Eclipsion’s voice deepened.
“Very well.”
The sky went completely dark.
Then—
Screams echoed from within the void-tear.
Shadows with infinite eyes crawled out.
Hands made of corrupted dimensions reached for Issei.
Rias gasped. “ISSEI!!”
Issei clenched his fists.
His wings expanded.
Red dream-fire spiraled around him.
Black infinity circled his arms.
He thrust both hands forward.
“DIMENSIONAL ERASURE.”
A wave of raw annihilation burst out.
Everything in front of him—monsters, void hands, corrupted dimensions—was erased instantly.
Gone.
Not even dust remained.
But Eclipsion had moved.
He appeared behind Issei and slashed.
The blade tore through space—
—ripping reality open like flesh—
—and struck Issei across the back.
A line of distorted light exploded from the wound.
Issei gritted his teeth as pain shot through him.
Rias shrieked from below. “ISEI!!!”
Akeno shouted, “He cut through Infinity?! How?!”
Orion’s eyes narrowed. “Dimensional Collapse ignores all defense. Not even infinite energy can fully block it.”
Ophis clenched her tiny fist. “I will kill him.”
Issei didn’t fall.
He floated forward, eyes burning.
“Hurting me is one thing…”
He looked down at Rias.
Then at Akeno.
Koneko.
Everyone who believed in him.
“…but you scared Rias.”
Eclipsion tilted his head. “So the devil princess matters to you?”
Issei smirked. “Yeah.”
Rias froze.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Eclipsion laughed, a harsh sound that shook the void.
“Love… a pathetic weakness.”
Issei’s aura exploded.
“No.”
His voice echoed deeper, stronger, mixed with Great Red and Ophis.
“Love is what makes me stronger.”
He shot upward so fast the atmosphere screamed.
His fist collided with Eclipsion’s face—
—the explosion shook the entire dimension.
Eclipsion was launched backward, crashing through several layers of twisted space.
Issei followed, wings blazing.
The sky flashed red and black as their battle intensified.
Each hit warped reality.
Each block shattered dimensions.
Every movement was faster than any god could track.
Eclipsion suddenly smirked.
“So… you are willing to awaken the next stage.”
Issei blinked. “Next stage?”
Orion looked up sharply from the ground.
“No… he’s not ready—!”
Eclipsion raised his blade.
“Allow me to help you awaken it.”
He stabbed the air.
The blade tore open a hole deeper than void.
A hole straight into non-existence.
Issei felt gravity pull him toward it.
Eclipsion whispered:
“Face the Abyss of No-Return.”
Issei tried to resist—but even infinity bent before this pull.
His wings strained.
Energy cracked.
His muscles screamed.
He slipped—
And fell into the abyss.
Rias screamed louder than she ever had:
“ISSSSEEEEIIIIIIII!!!”
Her voice echoed through the broken sky.
The abyss closed.
Everything became silent.
Akeno fell to her knees.
Koneko trembled.
Kiba clenched his teeth so hard they nearly cracked.
Gasper cried loudly.
Rias collapsed, tears streaming down her face.
“N-No… Issei… no…”
Ophis stared at the place where her son vanished.
Her aura shifted.
The ground trembled.
Orion immediately raised his hand.
“Ophis—calm down—!”
Her eyes turned pitch black.
“If he dies… all creation dies.”
Eclipsion laughed.
“Let the boy rot in nothingness.”
But then—
A crack appeared.
A soft sound.
Barely audible.
Like something knocking.
Knock.
Knock.
Eclipsion stopped laughing.
Knock.
The abyss split open from the inside.
A voice echoed out.
Tired.
Angry.
Awakened.
“You… should not have thrown me in there.”
The abyss exploded open.
And Issei stepped out.
But not the same.
His body was covered in red-black armor made of living dimensions.
His wings were now fully formed—twelve in total, each one a swirling universe.
His eyes burned brighter than before.
Orion whispered:
“He… he awakened it… Full Dimensional Deity Form.”
Ophis smiled softly.
“My son.”
Issei pointed at Eclipsion.
“You’re dead.”
Eclipsion, for the first time, stepped back.
Issei vanished—
And the final battle truly began.
The sky ripped open as Issei and Eclipsion clashed, their energies tearing through the air like colliding worlds. Every strike between them sent shockwaves that made the clouds explode and the earth tremble. Even from far below, Rias and the others felt the pressure so hard they could barely stand.
Issei’s wings of twisting red-black dimension flared behind him as he blocked Eclipsion’s blade. The sword was made of collapsing space, each swing able to erase anything it touched. But every time it hit Issei’s arms, dream-fire burst out, bending the blow away.
Eclipsion laughed, a cold, echoing sound.
“Good. Very good. Show me more.”
Issei gritted his teeth. “Why do you want me so badly?!”
“Because you are the bridge,” Eclipsion said. “Between infinity and dreams. With you, the Eclipse Gate will open. With you… all realities will merge under my rule.”
Issei’s eyes narrowed. “I’ll never let that happen.”
Eclipsion swung his blade again, ripping a slice through the sky. Issei dodged, appearing behind him in a blur, and punched straight into Eclipsion’s back. The impact shattered the air like glass, sending Eclipsion crashing down.
He hit the ground with a massive boom, shaking the entire city.
But he wasn’t hurt.
Eclipsion rose, chuckling. “Your base power is high. But untamed.”
Issei clenched his fists tighter. “Then I’ll tame it.”
He flew forward again. The world twisted around them as they moved too fast for normal space to follow. They reappeared in the middle of the sky, both throwing blows that erased clouds and bent reality.
Down below, Rias watched with a pounding heart.
She whispered softly, “Issei…”
Akeno kept her eyes wide open. “That power… Issei-kun is fighting a creature beyond gods…”
Koneko held her chest. “Senpai is… pushing himself too hard…”
Orion stood calmly beside them. “He must. For the universe to survive, he must surpass both his parents right now.”
Rias turned sharply to him. “Surpass… both Ophis and Great Red?!”
Orion nodded. “He has to.”
Up above, Eclipsion spread his arms, and a massive dark formation appeared behind him—like a giant black sun dripping with distorted shapes.
Issei felt cold. “What is that?!”
“The Eclipse Core,” Eclipsion said. “The heart of the Void Eclipsed. It feeds on everything—life, souls, dimensions.”
The black sun pulsed.
Issei gasped as he felt his strength draining.
Rias screamed, “ISSEI!!”
Eclipsion raised his sword. “Yield. Become mine. Or be erased.”
Issei’s wings flickered. His energy burned wildly as the Eclipse Core tried to consume it.
Then—
A hand touched his heart.
In his mind.
A gentle, soft, warm touch.
Rias’s voice echoed faintly inside his head.
“I’m here.”
Issei’s eyes widened. The fading dream-fire burst back to life, responding to her voice more than anything else.
He could feel her emotions—fear… hope… love…
She believed in him.
The energy around him roared like a dragon waking.
Eclipsion stepped back. “What—?!”
Issei’s aura exploded outward, red and black spiraling until a new halo formed behind his wings—three rings, one dream, one void, one pure creation.
Orion’s eyes widened. “Impossible… he’s entering the Unified Dragon Ascendance!”
Eclipsion hissed. “No! Not that form!”
Issei’s voice shook the sky.
“I’m not giving up.”
He clenched his fist, and reality stopped around him for a split second.
He moved.
A single punch.
Direct into the Eclipse Core.
The sky screamed.
The black sun cracked like glass. Pieces fell away, dissolving into nothingness. Eclipsion staggered back, fury boiling through his aura.
“You brat!”
He swung his sword again.
Issei blocked it with one hand—barehanded.
The blade of collapsing space shattered on contact.
Eclipsion stepped back in horror. “You… you destroyed dimensional collapse?!”
Issei smiled a little. “Guess I’m tougher than I look.”
He vanished again. Appeared behind Eclipsion. Kicked him down. Grabbed him mid-fall. Threw him up. Punched him back down. Every hit broke space, sent shockwaves across entire realms.
Rias ran forward unconsciously. “Issei…!”
She didn’t realize tears were forming.
Up above, Eclipsion’s body flickered as cracks formed across his armor.
“You… are… dangerous…”
Issei hovered above him, wings burning brighter. “Then leave. Now.”
Eclipsion growled. “The Void Eclipsed does not retreat—”
Issei raised his hand.
Energy swirled—red dream, black void, and pure creation. A sphere formed. Stable, calm, perfect.
Orion whispered in awe. “The Trinity Collapse Star…”
Ophis nodded. “He mastered it.”
Issei spoke softly.
“Leave Or be erased.”
Eclipsion froze.
Then he laughed.
“Very well, child. You have won… this time. But the Gate will open. And when it does—”
He vanished into the darkness, leaving the sky silent and broken.
Issei lowered his hand slowly as the new form faded.
His wings dissolved into red and black sparks.
His halo flickered out.
He fell.
Rias gasped. “ISSEI!!”
She sprinted forward with all her strength. Before he hit the ground, she caught him in her arms.
Issei opened his eyes weakly. “Rias…”
She held him tightly. “You idiot! Don’t ever do something like that alone again!”
Issei smiled softly, tired. “Sorry… I wanted to protect you.”
She blushed deeply, tears falling. “Issei… you’re not allowed to die. Not now. Not ever.”
He blinked. “Rias… are you… crying?”
She shook her head. “N-No… I just—”
But she couldn’t finish.
She hugged him again, burying her face in his chest.
Issei felt warm. Safe.
He whispered, “I’m not going anywhere.”
Behind them, Ophis approached and placed her hand on Issei’s head.
“You did well.”
Orion nodded. “The battle is far from over. But today… you have taken the first step toward your true destiny.”
Issei looked up at the sky.
Eclipsion escaped.
The Void Eclipsed survived.
And the Eclipse Gate… still existed.
His journey was just beginning.
