The wind blew hard across Dawn Island as a strange merchant ship arrived near Foosha Village. The sailors carried a large metal box chained four times. Inside were two Devil Fruits taken from an abandoned ancient ruin. No one on the ship knew their names, only that they were dangerous and powerful. When the ship docked, bandits tried to steal the box, but in the chaos it fell from the dock and drifted away toward the cliffs.
Luffy and Garp were arguing, the usual thing—Luffy wanted meat and adventure, Garp wanted discipline and training. While yelling at each other they noticed a strange box floating near the shore. Luffy rushed first and cracked it open. Two fruits glowed with swirling patterns, one gold and one silver. Luffy reached in immediately, thinking it was food. Garp shouted for him to stop and grabbed the other fruit to take it away.
They both bit into the fruits in the same second.
A shockwave burst out across the beach. The sky cracked with thunder even though no storm was there. The ground shook as if something ancient had awakened. Makino ran out of the bar screaming their names but the two were already falling to their knees. Strange light surrounded them—Luffy in blazing gold, Garp in shimmering silver.
Luffy’s body glowed like the sun. Energy pulsed through him in waves that bent the air. His heart beat so loud Garp could hear it. Luffy laughed as the power filled his body, stretching his limbs without effort. Garp felt a force rising in him too, but different—heavy, crushing, controlled like gravity itself obeyed him.
They had eaten two linked fruits. The ancient dual fruits of the Sun and the Titan. Luffy had gained the Hikari Hikari no Mi, the Light Sun Human. Garp had gained the Kyojin Kyojin no Mi, the Titan Human.
Luffy stood up glowing. He could run faster than ever, his body turning into streams of light before reforming. Garp tried to get up but his muscles exploded with power, making the ground crack under his feet. With a single step he created a crater. Every movement from him felt like a monster was waking from inside.
Garp stared at his grandson with shock. “You brat… you got yourself a Devil Fruit! And I did too! Dammit!”
Luffy just laughed. “Shishishi! Grandpa, let’s test it out!”
Garp had no choice. Training began instantly. He swung his fist and the air itself blew apart, pushing waves across the sea. Luffy dodged by turning into light and reappearing behind him. Garp tried to grab him, but Luffy’s light body slipped through like smoke. Luffy attacked with glowing punches that heated the air.
Garp countered with Titan-strength bursts. When he punched, shockwaves blasted trees away. When he stomped, the hill shook. Luffy’s body burned brighter as he learned he could create tiny suns in his hands. Garp learned he could grow slightly larger and his skin became tougher than iron.
Word spread fast. Marine Headquarters heard that Garp ate a Devil Fruit. The world panicked. A fruit that made Garp stronger? That alone could shake nations. But the news that a village boy with unknown abilities also ate a powerful fruit at the same time made everything worse. Vice Admirals begged Sengoku to control Garp, because a Devil Fruit Garp was a walking natural disaster.
Garp didn’t care. He took Luffy to the mountains and trained him harder than ever. Luffy learned to shoot beams of burning light, to blind enemies, and to dash so fast he looked like a streak across the sky. Garp trained his Titan strength, learning to compress force, punch with seismic power, and tank explosions without flinching.
During one training session, Luffy fired a burst of sunlight and accidentally melted a giant boulder. Garp countered by growing his arms and smashing the same mountain clean in half. Luffy’s eyes sparkled. “Grandpa, you’re like a huge monster!”
“IDIOT! YOU THINK THIS IS FUN?!”
But both of them smiled.
One day pirates attacked Dawn Island. They were strong, armed with cannons and hired killers. The villagers ran but they suddenly saw a bright figure standing in the sunlight and a huge titan-like man stepping forward.
Luffy walked calmly. “Grandpa, I wanna try fighting too.”
Garp cracked his knuckles. “Fine. Don’t die.”
The pirates fired cannons. Luffy turned into light and passed through the explosions. Garp tanked the cannonballs with his chest, breaking them instantly. Luffy moved in flashes, knocking pirates out with sun-charged punches. Garp smashed the ship with one blow.
The fight was over in seconds.
After that, Luffy’s dream became even more exciting. “I’m gonna be Pirate King! And I’ll become the brightest sun in the world!”
Garp yelled immediately. “Hell no! You’re joining the Marines! With your power you could beat Admirals!”
Luffy just laughed and ran off in a trail of glowing sparks. The villagers watched Garp chase him, each step leaving small craters in the ground.
The world didn’t know yet, but everything had already changed. Instead of a rubber boy and a regular Marine hero, destiny created a pair of monsters—one born of light, one born of titan force—linked by the moment they ate the fruits together.
One day, they would shake the entire world.
Years passed, and Luffy’s power only grew wilder. Every day he trained in the mountains, creating bursts of light that lit up the whole forest at night, while Garp’s footsteps broke the ground like thunder. The animals of Dawn Island learned to fear two things—bright flashes and shaking earth.
Luffy learned to turn his whole body into light to dodge any attack. He learned to make light spheres that floated around him and exploded when he touched them. He could even heal small wounds with sunlight by flooding his body with warm energy. Garp, meanwhile, learned to strengthen his Titan body so much that even bullets shattered on his skin. He could lift trees with one hand and jump so high people thought he flew.
Garp tried everything to push Luffy into becoming a Marine. He tied him to boulders, he sent him flying with Titan punches, he forced him to fight bears that ran away anyway. But every time Garp tried to force Marine life on him, Luffy just shined brighter, smiled bigger, and ran away faster.
One day, after a training punch that accidentally launched Luffy across three mountains, Luffy clapped his hands glowing with heat. “Grandpa, I’m strong now! I’m ready to go to sea!”
Garp’s face turned red with rage. “NO YOU’RE NOT! YOU’RE JOINING THE MARINES AND THAT’S FINAL!”
Luffy ran in a streak of golden light, dodging Garp’s Titan fist that slammed the ground and made a shockwave so huge it blew every leaf off the trees. Luffy laughed loudly. “Shishishi! I’m gonna be Pirate King! That’s my dream!”
Garp roared so loudly villagers thought a giant monster was attacking. “GET BACK HERE, YOU GLOWING BRAT!”
The chase lasted two hours until Garp slipped and fell down a hill because Luffy blinded him with a flash. Luffy escaped to Foosha Village where Makino shook her head with a tired smile. “Luffy… you shouldn’t blind your grandfather.”
“He was gonna lock me up in a Marine base,” Luffy said while eating meat. “I need to go to sea before he drags me there.”
Makino sighed. “Then at least wait until you’re ready.”
But Luffy felt it—his heart was burning like a sun. He was ready now.
The day Luffy turned seventeen, a small boat arrived at the shore. Luffy stood on it proudly, a straw hat on his head, a glowing aura around him, and a giant smile on his face. “I’m going, Makino! I’m gonna find crewmates and become the Pirate King!”
Makino hugged him tightly and smiled with watery eyes. “Go, Luffy. Just… don’t blind too many people.”
Luffy pushed off the boat, but before he could even get far, the sea exploded as a giant titan-like figure burst from the water. Garp rose up coughing and furious. “YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THIS ISLAND!”
Luffy screamed and paddled fast, making sparks fly from his hands. “WHY ARE YOU IN THE OCEAN, GRANDPA?!”
“I JUMPED IN TO CUT YOU OFF!”
“YOU CAN’T SWIM!”
“I KNOW THAT!!!”
Garp began sinking slowly, but before he disappeared, he hurled a giant boulder with Titan strength. Luffy turned into light and dodged as the boulder landed with a massive splash.
Soon Luffy drifted into the wider sea. He stared up at the bright sky. “I need a crew. I need friends. I need adventure!”
He sailed for only one day before his tiny boat was swallowed by a whirlpool. Luffy turned to light to try and escape, but seawater weakened him, and he struggled hard. His body flickered dimly, and he couldn’t use his powers. He sank into the darkness of the ocean until a shadowy figure grabbed him.
When Luffy woke up, he was inside a barrel on a pirate ship. He burst out with glowing fists, scaring the low-level pirates around him. They screamed as Luffy knocked them out with quick flashes of light. He wandered around until he met a girl with orange hair stealing treasure from the ship.
She jumped when she saw him glowing. “What are you supposed to be?! A lantern?!”
Luffy grinned. “I’m Luffy! I’m gonna be Pirate King!”
She stared at him like he was insane. “Well I’m Nami. And I’m not joining any pirate—”
Before she finished, the pirate crew attacked them. Luffy fought them easily. He turned into blinding light and reappeared behind enemies, knocking them unconscious with heated punches. When he fired a beam accidentally into the ceiling, half the deck melted and pirates ran screaming.
Nami’s jaw dropped. “You’re… a monster.”
Luffy smiled. “Thanks!”
Nami sighed. “Fine. I’ll help you. But I’m not joining your crew.”
“Okay! You’re my crewmate now!”
“I literally just said—”
Suddenly a huge shadow loomed over the ship. A giant sea beast rose up, snarling and drooling. Nami froze, shaking in fear. Luffy stepped forward calmly, hands glowing brighter and brighter until the entire sky lit up.
The beast lunged.
Luffy thrust his palm forward.
A blast of sunlight exploded like a miniature sun, blinding the monster and heating the air so violently that the sea steamed. The creature roared and fled underwater. Nami stared at Luffy with pure shock and fear.
“You… you’re not normal.”
Luffy beamed. “Nope!”
Nami gulped. “If I don’t join this idiot, he’s going to die and take me with him.”
Luffy held out his glowing hand. “Come with me! Let’s find treasure! Let’s beat pirates! And I’ll protect you!”
Even though she rolled her eyes, Nami slowly took his hand. “Fine. But I’m only doing this for money.”
Luffy cheered. “My first nakama!”
The sun shined behind him, reflecting on his glowing body as the small pirate ship drifted into the horizon. Two destinies had started at the same moment—Garp becoming the strongest Marine Titan in history, and Luffy becoming the brightest sun to ever sail the seas.
And the world had no idea what kind of storm was coming.
The small pirate ship drifted gently as Luffy stood at the front, staring at the horizon with eyes shining like tiny suns. Nami sat behind him counting coins, keeping distance because Luffy’s glowing body still scared her a little.
“Luffy, don’t blast anything, okay? If you melt this ship, WE DIE.”
Luffy nodded. “I’ll try!”
“That does NOT make me feel safe!”
Soon a Marine base appeared—Shells Town. But instead of proud flags and clean walls, the place looked miserable. People walked with fear in their eyes. Posters of a man with a cruel smile were everywhere. Captain Morgan.
Luffy tilted his head. “Looks boring.”
Nami crossed her arms. “We’re here because the Marines have a map of the Grand Line. We steal it and leave. Easy.”
Luffy grinned. “Then let’s do it!”
As they walked toward the base, Luffy suddenly felt a strange presence. His Sun aura reacted, glowing faintly. Someone strong was nearby. Someone with a spirit like steel. He followed the feeling until he reached the courtyard.
There he saw a man tied to a wooden pole, arms stretched, body bruised. A green-haired swordsman with three swords lying in the dirt nearby. Even beaten and starved, his aura felt sharp like blades cutting the wind.
Nami whispered, “That’s Roronoa Zoro, the pirate hunter. He’s terrifying.”
Luffy walked straight toward him.
Zoro slowly opened one eye. “Who are you?”
“I’m Luffy.” His smile glowed. “I’m gonna be Pirate King.”
Zoro closed his eyes again. “You’re either stupid or suicidal.”
Luffy looked at the ropes. “Why are you tied up?”
“I tried to protect a kid. Morgan wanted me dead. Simple as that.”
Luffy’s eyes burned with light. “Good. I’m gonna recruit you.”
Nami grabbed Luffy’s arm. “WHAT?! He’s a monster! He kills pirates!”
“I like strong people,” Luffy said simply.
Zoro raised an eyebrow. “I’m not joining you.”
Luffy poked Zoro’s cheek. “Yes you are.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
Before Zoro could argue again, a Marine shouted from the tower. “HEY! WHO ARE YOU? LEAVE THE PRISONER ALONE!”
Luffy turned around glowing like a sunrise. “No.”
The Marine blinked. “Wha—”
A flash.
Luffy appeared behind him on the tower, tapping him lightly. The Marine fell unconscious instantly. Nami screamed from below, “STOP TELEPORTING AROUND LIKE A LIGHTBULB!”
Zoro watched silently. “What… are you?”
Luffy smiled. “Sun.”
The base erupted with alarm bells. Marines surrounded the courtyard with guns aiming at Luffy. Zoro shouted at him, “Kid, run! You can’t fight all of them!”
But Luffy just stood calmly. His body glowed brighter and brighter until Marines lowered their guns in fear, sweating under the rising heat.
They fired anyway.
The bullets didn’t hit him— they melted in the air before touching him.
Zoro’s jaw dropped. “What the hell…?”
Luffy pointed two fingers forward. A small beam fired out, hitting every Marine gun and melting them instantly. The weapons all clattered to the ground in smoking pieces.
Nami stared. “Luffy… PLEASE don’t melt the whole base…”
Luffy didn’t hear her because his eyes were locked onto one man walking from the headquarters. Captain Morgan. The Marine with a metal jaw and an ego bigger than his building.
“Meddling brat,” Morgan sneered. “I’ll execute you myself.”
Luffy stepped forward. Zoro struggled in his ropes. “Hey, don’t underestimate that guy. He’s strong.”
Luffy’s smile didn’t fade. “I can feel it. But he’s not strong enough.”
Morgan swung his massive axe arm at Luffy with full force. The blade hit Luffy’s head—
Light flashed.
The blade passed through harmlessly.
“What—?!” Morgan stumbled forward as Luffy turned behind him.
“You’re slow,” Luffy said softly.
Then he punched.
A small burst of sunlight exploded on Morgan’s chest, launching him through two walls. Marines screamed and ran. Nami clutched her head. “You didn’t have to blow him into a building!”
Luffy walked to Zoro and grabbed the ropes. His hands glowed, but not hot—gentle, warm light. The ropes burned away cleanly without hurting Zoro.
Zoro stared at his freed hands. “Why… help me?”
“You’re strong,” Luffy said. “I want you on my crew.”
Zoro looked at the swords on the ground. Luffy picked them up with glowing fingers and offered them. Zoro took them slowly, feeling the heat but not pain.
“You’re crazy,” Zoro muttered. “But… I made a promise. I need to become the greatest swordsman in the world. If joining you lets me reach that dream…” He smirked. “Fine. I’ll join your crazy crew.”
Luffy cheered loudly. “YEAH! My second nakama!”
Nami slapped her forehead. “Great… now I’m stuck with two idiots.”
Zoro looked at Luffy again. “But listen, if you ever get in the way of my dream, I’ll make you step aside myself.”
Luffy just laughed. “Good! Then we’ll both get stronger together.”
As they left the base, the villagers cheered. The sun set behind them, but Luffy’s body glowed brightly enough to light the whole path. Zoro walked beside him with swords on his hip, Nami sighing as she held the Grand Line map she stole.
Luffy raised his fist into the sky. “Let’s go! Our adventure is just starting!”
Zoro smirked. “If you melt the boat, you’re swimming.”
“I CAN’T SWIM!”
“Then don’t melt anything!”
Their voices echoed across the sea as their ship sailed into the horizon, carrying light, steel, and a thief who wondered if she was making the biggest mistake of her life.
But deep inside, the world trembled.
A Sun.
A Titan.
And the strongest pirate crew in history had just begun.
The small ship rocked gently as Luffy lay on the deck, shining like a warm lantern. Zoro tried to nap but couldn’t because Luffy’s glow was too bright. Nami sat at the front, steering and complaining every five minutes.
“Luffy, can you turn the brightness down?”
“I don’t know how!”
“Of course you don’t…”
After days of traveling, a town appeared ahead—bright red tents, huge banners, circus music, and a large pirate flag decorated with a clown nose. Orange Town. Nami sighed. “Perfect. Buggy the Clown pirates. A group of lunatics.”
Luffy grinned. “I like clowns!”
Zoro tied his bandana tighter. “This one cuts people into pieces. Be careful.”
Luffy didn’t hear them; he had already jumped off the ship with a glowing trail behind him.
When they entered the town, it was empty. Not a single villager. But broken buildings and scattered cannonballs were everywhere.
A trembling old man popped out from behind a barrel when he saw Luffy glowing. “A-ahhh! A ghost!”
“I’m not a ghost!” Luffy laughed. “I’m Sun!”
Zoro sighed. “You’re getting worse…”
The old man explained that Buggy had taken over the town, using his Chop-Chop Fruit to terrorize people. And worst of all, he loved firing cannonballs at their homes for “fun.”
Luffy clenched his fists, light building around him. “He hurts people for fun? Then I’m gonna stop him.”
They headed toward a circus tent so huge it took up half the town. Music played loudly inside. Luffy pushed the doors open and walked in glowing gold. Buggy sat on a throne wearing a huge hat and laughing with his crew.
When Buggy saw the glowing boy, he froze. “WHO TURNED THE SUN ON INSIDE MY TENT?!”
Luffy waved. “Hi! I’m Luffy. I’m gonna be Pirate King.”
Buggy pointed dramatically. “Then you die today, brat! No one shines brighter than Buggy the Clown!”
Luffy tilted his head. “But you’re not shining.”
Buggy’s eye twitched. “GET HIM!”
Dozens of Buggy pirates charged with knives and clubs. Luffy didn’t move. His body glowed brighter and brighter until—
FLASH.
A burst of sunlight blinded every single pirate. They fell over screaming, “MY EYES!! I CAN’T SEE ANYTHING!”
Zoro covered his face. “Warn us before you do that!”
Nami kicked Luffy lightly. “STOP LIGHTING UP EVERYTHING!”
Buggy staggered back in shock. “W-what are you?! Some kind of walking lighthouse?!”
Luffy stepped forward. Buggy fired a cannonball at him out of fear. The cannonball melted in midair, dripping like metal wax before splashing harmlessly on the ground.
Buggy gasped. “THAT’S ILLEGAL!”
Luffy chuckled. “My turn.”
Buggy panicked and used his Chop-Chop Fruit, splitting into pieces. His hands flew forward with knives. Luffy dodged easily by flashing into light.
The hands missed and circled back. Luffy watched them with a curious expression. “Can your pieces move forever?”
Buggy smirked. “Of course! Chop-Chop parts can move no matter what!”
Luffy raised a hand glowing hot. “Let’s test that.”
He touched one of Buggy’s flying fingers.
It sizzled.
It smoked.
It melted like burning paper.
Buggy screamed. “AAAAHHHHHH!! MY FINGER! YOU MELTED MY BEAUTIFUL FINGER!!”
The pirate crew panicked. “CAPTAIN BUGGY CAN BE MELTED?! THAT’S NOT FAIR!!”
Buggy tried to reassemble himself, but one of his pieces—the small finger—was now gone. He stared at the empty spot on his hand and burst into tears. “YOU LITTLE GLOWING DEMON!”
Luffy stepped forward again, calm and bright. “Stop terrorizing this town.”
Buggy threw every knife, cannon, and body part he had. Luffy dodged all of it using flashes of sunlight, moving too fast to track. Zoro watched with crossed arms. “He’s using his fruit better every day.”
Nami hugged the Grand Line map. “If Buggy explodes, we’re leaving immediately.”
Buggy sent his upper body flying toward Luffy with spinning knives. Luffy inhaled deeply. His body heated up, glowing gold, then white, then blazing white.
He exhaled.
A wave of sunlight burst out—hot but controlled—enough to blast Buggy backward and knock all his pieces into separate corners of the tent.
Buggy’s head flew past Luffy, screaming, “YOU’RE NOT EVEN HUMAN!!”
Luffy caught the head.
Buggy screamed louder. “DON’T TOUCH ME!”
Luffy tapped the clown nose. “Boop.”
“NOOOOOOO!!”
With that, the rest of Buggy’s body fell, defeated. The town shook as the circus tent collapsed from Luffy’s light blast. When dust settled, the people came out of hiding.
The villagers cheered. Zoro grinned faintly. Nami wiped sweat from her face and whispered, “Thank god this idiot is on our side…”
Luffy stood proudly, sunlight shining behind him like a halo.
But then—BOOM.
An enormous shockwave shook the sea, so powerful that even Luffy felt it. Zoro’s eyes widened. “What was that?”
Nami pointed to the horizon. “It… it came from the Marine side! That power feels huge!”
Luffy smiled softly.
Because he recognized it.
A Titan punch.
From one person.
His grandpa.
Garp was moving.
And he was getting closer.
The Going Merry didn’t exist yet, but Luffy’s small ship carried the three of them—Luffy glowing as always, Zoro sharpening his swords, and Nami praying Luffy didn’t melt the wood while he slept. The sea was calm, but the air shook every few minutes with faint tremors.
Zoro frowned. “That’s not thunder. Something huge is moving.”
Nami hugged the map of the Grand Line. “Please don’t say it’s a sea monster…”
Luffy sat up and stretched, his body shining brighter when he woke. “It’s Grandpa.”
Both Zoro and Nami froze.
“WHAT?!” they yelled at the same time.
Luffy nodded happily. “Yep! That’s his Titan footsteps.”
Nami screamed into the sky. “WHY IS A WALKING EARTHQUAKE CHASING US?!”
Zoro put a hand on his swords. “If he’s as strong as you say…”
Luffy grinned. “He’s way stronger than me!”
Nami fainted for three seconds.
They sailed faster.
Soon they reached Syrup Village—a quiet place with small houses and grassy hills. Luffy jumped off the ship and walked toward the village square. Everything looked peaceful, almost too peaceful.
Then—
“ENEMY PIRATES!! WE ARE SURROUNDED!! THIS IS THE END OF THE VILLAGE!!”
A voice screamed from a rooftop.
Luffy looked up to see a skinny long-nosed boy waving his arms wildly, eyes full of fear and drama. “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!”
Nami pointed. “That must be Usopp.”
Zoro crossed his arms. “He’s loud.”
The boy took a breath, puffed out his chest, and shouted again, “FEAR ME, FOR I COMMAND TEN MILLION FOLLOWERS!”
Luffy waved. “Hi! I’m Luffy!”
Usopp’s eyes widened. “AHHH!! STRANGE GLOWING CREATURE!! DEMON!! MONSTER!! ALIEN!!”
Luffy tilted his head. “No, I’m human.”
“YOU’RE A WALKING LIGHTBULB!”
Luffy laughed. “Thanks!”
Usopp stared at him, trembling. “W-what do you want?! Don’t melt me!”
Nami sighed. “Too late. Luffy scares everyone…”
Luffy smiled warmly. “I’m here to make friends.”
Usopp blinked. “Friends…? With me?”
Before they could continue, a huge BOOM shook the entire island. Birds flew out of trees. Buildings rattled. The ground split slightly.
Nami grabbed Luffy’s shirt. “THAT’S YOUR GRANDPA, ISN’T IT?!”
Luffy nodded cheerfully.
Usopp fell to his knees. “WHAT KIND OF FAMILY DO YOU HAVE?!”
Zoro stared toward the sea. “He’s close. Very close.”
Meanwhile, Luffy’s attention drifted to Kaya’s mansion—the home of a rich, sick girl Usopp always visited. Something about the house felt wrong. Too quiet. Too heavy.
Then Luffy sensed a dark presence inside. A cold, sharp aura—like a snake waiting to strike.
Kuro.
Luffy didn’t know his name, but he knew danger.
He walked toward the mansion. Usopp ran after him. “Wait! You can’t go there! That man—Klahadore—is dangerous! He said he’d kill me if I kept coming!”
Luffy stopped walking and looked at Usopp, glowing softly. “Then he’s a bad guy.”
Usopp inhaled sharply. “Y-yes…”
Luffy smiled gently. “Then I’ll protect your friend.”
Usopp blinked. “Why?”
“Because you’re a good person. And good people deserve someone to fight for them.”
Usopp’s eyes stung for a moment. No one had ever said something like that to him.
The four approached Kaya’s mansion. Klahadore—Kuro in disguise—appeared at the door, adjusting his glasses with one calm finger. His eyes narrowed at the glowing boy.
“You’re strangers. Leave.”
Luffy stared right into his eyes. “You’re planning something.”
Kuro smiled, thin and sharp. “Amusing. But irrelevant. Leave… or die.”
Zoro stepped forward, hand on his sword. “Not happening.”
Kuro’s aura shifted. His movements became slightly faster, slightly sharper. But Luffy saw everything. Kuro’s speed was nothing compared to light.
Suddenly the ground shook violently again—another Titan step.
Even Kuro flinched this time. “What… was that?!”
Usopp collapsed. “THE EARTH IS MOVING BY ITSELF!!”
Luffy grinned. “That’s my grandpa.”
Kuro’s eyes widened. “What kind of demon family do you belong to…?”
Luffy didn’t answer. Instead, he flicked his fingers and a tiny spark of sunlight appeared—a warning.
Kuro took a single step back.
At nightfall, Kuro finally snapped, dropping the act and revealing his true identity, ordering the Black Cat Pirates to attack the village.
Usopp trembled. “Luffy… I can’t fight them… I’m not strong…”
Luffy placed a warm, glowing hand on his shoulder. “You don’t need to be strong alone. We’re your friends now.”
Usopp froze. The words hit his heart like a cannonball—except warm, not painful.
Zoro cracked his neck. “Let’s finish this.”
Nami held her staff tightly. “Just don’t melt us.”
The Black Cat Pirates rushed the shore. Zoro handled most with perfect sword swings. Nami set traps and knocked pirates out with surprise attacks. Usopp fired slingshot shots with incredible accuracy, surprising even himself.
Luffy walked calmly toward Kuro.
Kuro smirked. “You can’t touch me. My speed is unmatched.”
He vanished.
SHING—SHING—SHING—claws slicing the air.
But Luffy didn’t move.
Instead, he let out a gentle pulse of sunlight.
A bright wave spread out in a perfect circle.
Kuro reappeared, stumbling, clutching his eyes. “W—WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
“I slowed you down with light,” Luffy said simply. “Your eyes can’t see through bright things.”
Kuro screamed in rage and rushed again with his Shakushi attack.
Luffy punched the ground lightly.
A burst of heat created a crater and a shockwave that launched Kuro straight into the sky. He crashed into his own pirate ship, unconscious.
Usopp stared in awe. “You… you’re like a hero.”
Luffy shook his head. “Nah. I’m just Luffy.”
Kaya thanked them with tears in her eyes and offered them her ship—the Going Merry.
The crew boarded with joy.
But before they could celebrate—
A massive shadow rose from the sea.
A titan-sized fist slammed into the water, creating a giant wave that rocked their new ship.
Garp stood on a battleship, silver aura crackling like living stone.
His voice boomed across the sea:
“LUUFFFYYYYY!! YOU BRAT!! YOU LEFT YOUR TRAINING AGAIN!!”
Luffy froze.
Zoro stepped back. “Oh hell no.”
Nami fainted.
Usopp screamed for ten minutes straight.
Luffy smiled nervously. “He found me.”
And the Titan Marine began marching toward the Going Merry.
The sky shook as Garp’s Titan aura grew. His battleship cut through the waves like a monster approaching prey. The Going Merry trembled violently as the giant Marine hero stepped onto the deck, each footstep shaking the entire ship.
Zoro gripped his swords tightly. “Luffy… that’s your grandpa?”
Luffy nodded slowly. “Yep.”
Nami woke up, saw Garp, and fainted again.
Usopp hid behind the mast, shaking and whispering, “Why is a mountain in human form staring at us?!”
Garp cracked his knuckles, each one sounding like a cannon shot. “LUFFY!! YOU RAN AWAY FROM TRAINING! AGAIN!!”
Luffy stepped forward, glowing with golden light. “Grandpa, I’m going to sea! I told you already!”
Garp roared, “AND I TOLD YOU YOU’RE JOINING THE MARINES!!”
The sea around them erupted with waves as Garp jumped from his battleship to the Merry. His Titan-empowered weight cracked the deck. Nami screamed, “STOP BREAKING OUR NEW SHIP!!!”
Garp ignored her.
He stared at Luffy with a mix of anger and affection. “If you want to become a pirate… then defeat me!”
Luffy smiled. “Okay.”
Zoro’s jaw dropped. “What do you mean ‘okay’?! He’s a monster!”
Usopp screamed, “WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!”
Luffy stepped onto the open deck. His body glowed brighter, golden light reflecting off the sea waves. Garp lowered his stance, muscles growing thicker, aura turning silver and heavy.
Sun vs Titan.
The air felt alive.
Garp moved first.
Despite his massive size, he appeared instantly in front of Luffy. A Titan fist the size of Luffy’s head swung forward with world-ending power.
Luffy became light.
Garp’s punch hit only air, creating a shockwave that blasted the Merry backward across the sea. Zoro grabbed the mast. Nami clung to the railing. Usopp swallowed his soul.
Luffy reappeared behind Garp and kicked his back with a burst of light.
The kick barely moved him.
Garp turned his head. “Good try.”
He swung his Titanic arm backward, hitting Luffy like a meteor. Luffy shot across the sky and smashed into the ocean, sending up a huge geyser of water.
Usopp cried, “LUFFY’S DEAD!!!”
Zoro shook his head. “No… he’s not.”
A beam of sunlight burst upward from the sea like a golden pillar.
Luffy shot into the air, hovering above the Merry with a bright aura. He smiled. “That was strong, Grandpa!”
Garp grinned. “You haven’t even seen strong yet!”
He stomped the deck.
The deck shattered completely.
Nami screamed, “STOP DESTROYING OUR SHIP, YOU TITAN IDIOT!!”
Garp leapt upward, meeting Luffy mid-air. Their fists met.
Sunlight vs Titan force.
The collision created a shockwave that split the clouds above them. Birds fled. The ocean parted beneath them for a moment.
Luffy spun backward from the impact. Garp landed on the battleship, causing it to dip dangerously.
The Marine soldiers onboard cried. “VICE ADMIRAL!! YOU’RE TOO HEAVY!!”
Garp ignored them again, leaping back at Luffy. His fist glowed silver, condensed with pure Titan power.
Luffy gathered intense sunlight into his palm.
Both yelled:
“Sun Burst!”
“Titan Smash!”
The attacks collided.
A huge explosion of light and pressure filled the sky. Zoro shielded his face with a sword. Nami hugged a barrel. Usopp scribbled a will.
When the light faded, both Luffy and Garp floated in the air, panting slightly.
Garp wiped his brow. “You’ve gotten stronger, brat.”
Luffy grinned. “You too!”
Garp cracked his neck. “Time for the finishing blow!”
He pulled back his arm.
Luffy inhaled, gathering sunlight into his entire body until he glowed white, brighter than ever before.
Then—
BOOM.
Koby jumped between them in mid-air, flailing his arms wildly. “WAIT!! BOTH OF YOU STOP!!! PLEASE!! YOU’LL BREAK THE WHOLE EAST BLUE!!!”
Garp and Luffy both froze.
Luffy blinked. “Koby?”
Koby nodded, shaking. “Y-yes… it’s me! Please don’t destroy an entire sea just because of a family argument!”
Garp sighed. “Hmph.”
The Titan aura faded.
Luffy’s glow dimmed back to warm gold.
Garp landed on the Merry gently this time. The ship creaked but didn’t break.
The Titan Marine sat down and crossed his arms. “Luffy… if you’re really going to be a pirate… then become the strongest idiot in the world.”
Luffy smiled brightly. “I will!”
Garp grinned, grabbing Luffy’s head and shaking it roughly. “AND YOU BETTER NOT EMBARRASS ME!!”
Nami yelled, “YOU NEARLY KILLED US!!”
Usopp cried, “I WANT TO GO HOME!!”
Zoro smirked. “That was the strongest old man I’ve ever seen.”
Garp stood up, preparing to leave. “Luffy. Become strong enough to face what’s waiting for you in the Grand Line.”
He looked at Luffy with rare seriousness.
“Sun power or not… the world is bigger than you think.”
Luffy nodded.
Garp’s battleship sailed away. The Merry drifted in silence.
Nami slowly turned to Luffy. “Never. EVER. Let that Titan near our ship again.”
Usopp shook. “I… I’m scared of meeting your grandma now…”
Zoro stretched. “Well… that was exciting.”
Luffy simply laughed. “Shishishi! Let’s keep going!”
The crew sighed, exhausted.
But deep inside, their trust in Luffy had grown.
Not because he was the strongest.
But because he wasn’t afraid of anything—not even a Titan Marine.
The Going Merry sailed onward, creaking from Garp’s earlier Titan stomps. Nami hammered nails into the deck angrily. Zoro napped. Usopp stared at the sky asking God not to send any more giant relatives after them. Luffy sat at the front, legs swinging, glowing softly like a warm lantern.
Suddenly, a massive shadow appeared on the horizon. A huge floating restaurant—Baratie.
Luffy’s eyes sparkled. “FOOD!”
Nami grabbed his collar instantly. “NO BLASTING ANYTHING INSIDE. NO GLOWING TOO BRIGHT. AND NO STARTING FIGHTS!”
Luffy nodded.
Zoro whispered, “He’s not gonna listen.”
They docked at Baratie and walked inside. The smell of cooked meat hit Luffy like heaven itself. His body glowed slightly brighter out of excitement and Sanji, carrying plates, stopped mid-step.
